(Senna marilandica) – I finally got some senna seeds to germinate! These distinctive little seedlings, with their neatly-paired leaves, will grow to 3-4′ tall. Showy yellow flowers in summer are followed by dramatic, dark-brown seed pods. As a legume, Senna will help fix nitrogen in the soil, improving soil health for other plants as well. Full to part sun, med-wet to med-dry soil. Host plant for Sulphur butterflies.
