Lavender ‘Grosso’

in 3″ re-used plastic pot

Out of stock

A sweetly aromatic herb with silvery-gray foliage and violet blooms. Foliage and flowers retain their fragrance when dried. Well loved by bees. Bushy plants can reach 2’ in height, and have medicinal as well as culinary and crafting uses.

After more failures with lavender than I care to admit, I’ve learned three things:

*Pick the right variety for Oklahoma. ‘Grosso’ is the best!

*Good drainage. Don’t overwater. Lavender will need more frequent water during the first season, less after it is established.

*Give it some afternoon shade. Lavender is rated full sun, but it’s always done better for me in a spot where it gets some shade in the afternoon.
