Origanum majorana

Essential in Mediterranean, Italian and French cuisine, marjoram has a flavor similar to oregano but sweeter and more balsam-like. Pairs especially well with mushroom dishes, stuffing, stews and tomato sauces.

Flowers are also edible. To use as a dried herb, hang small bunches upside down in a cool, well-ventilated area.

Pinch the growing tip of young plants to promote branching and increase the yield, and give it plenty of water. Annual or tender perennial, compact plants grow 8-18” tall, full sun.
