Description

A superb cut flower, with rose-like blossoms in shades of purple, pink, carmine, white and yellow. Lisianthus’ heritage is the prairie gentian, a flower native to prairies and fields from northern New Mexico to Colorado and Nebraska. For such a delicate looking flower, it sure can hold up to our Oklahoma summers! Blooms in late June or early July. Cut them back after they finish blooming for a second, smaller flush in late summer or early fall. Space close together on 6” centers for maximum production of tall stems. Lisianthus is known for its extra-long vase life.

The lisianthus seedlings are small, but it’s fine to transplant them at this stage. They’re actually 3 month old seedlings! They just grow very slowly at first.

Colors in stock: champagne, light pink, misty pink, misty blue, carmine, yellow, white, lavender, antique brown and a few deep purple. When you order, tell me your color preference in the “Notes” box. Please give me a 1st and 2nd choice on colors.
