A tropical, aromatic grass with a clean, sharp, lemony scent and flavor, essential in Thai cuisine. Harvest any time after the plant is well-established and growing vigorously. Pick leaf stalks from outside of the clump. Annual when grown in Oklahoma, although I have had it winter over occasionally. Grows 3-4’ tall in one season. Full sun.

Lemongrass Tea: Pour 2 cups boiling water over 1 cup of roughly chopped lemongrass stalks, either fresh or dried. Steep for at least 5 minutes. Strain, add sweetener if desired, and enjoy hot or cold!
