Aquilegia canadensis

One of the first plants to flower and provide nectar in the spring for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. A native to eastern U.S. with red/yellow flowers and delicate foliage. Tolerant of a range of soil types, but prefers rich, moist soils in light to moderate shade. Will naturalize to form large colonies when growing conditions are optimal.
