A sunny addition to the flower or herb garden. Early to bloom and frost tolerant. In shades of oranges and yellows. Also known as Pot Marigold. Attracts beneficial insects. Full sun, 2’ height.
For edible flowers, harvest when blooms are fully open, and pull petals off (don’t eat the calyx or center.) Petals make a lovely addition to salads or to garnish baked dishes. Considered beneficial for use in healing salves. Can also be used dried for baking or tea.
