Penstemon grandifloras

One of the showiest of all the native penstemons! Large, tubular, lavender flowers are popular with long-tongued pollinators such as mason bees and bumblebees. Also attracts birds, including hummingbirds. Prefers sand or gravel soils rather than clay, and requires excellent drainage. Full sun to partial shade, med-dry to dry soil, drought tolerant, 2’ height, early summer blooming.
