Description

‘Blue Bedder’ Salvia is a variety of mealy cup sage (Salvia farinacea) native to central and western Texas, and New Mexico. A half-hardy perennial, it is attractive to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Violet-blue flowers on tall, squared stems, blooms all summer. One of the best salvias for cut flowers.

Trim stems back after the first freeze in the fall. Will often overwinter and come back in the spring. 2-3’ tall plants will grow 12-18” wide. Drought tolerant, easy to grow, low maintenance. Full sun or light shade.
