Gaillardia grandiflora

This cultivar of blanket flower gives a long season of blooms featuring bright orange-red petals with golden-yellow tips. Attractive to butterflies and bees, and seeds will feed goldfinches. Drought tolerant once established. Perennial, prefers full sun and dry to medium soil, grows 12-15” tall.

The state wildflower of Oklahoma! This is the native, annual variety, with showy red flowers tipped in yellow. Easy to grow and will happily reseed itself every year; just be sure to let the seeds fully mature before trimming back the stems. Attractive to butterflies & bees. Prefers full sun and lean, dry soil conditions. Drought tolerant once established, grows 1-2’ tall.
