Sweet Black-Eyed Susan

A long-lived perennial covered in cheerful, bright yellow flowers in mid to late summer. Will mature to a large, bushy plant 4-5’ tall.

Very showy in the landscape! Native to Oklahoma, this tough prairie plant is able to tolerate wind, poor soils and some drought. Makes an excellent cut flower. Attracts native bees and butterflies. Medium soil, full to partial sun.

Rudbeckia fulgida

A butterfly favorite! Orange coneflower blooms mid-summer to fall with large, daisy-like flowers. Plants form a mounded profile. Prolong flowering by dead-heading. Prefers full to partial sun. Grows 2 – 3’ tall, space 1-2’ apart. Med-wet to med-dry soil. Deer resistant. ‘Goldsturm’ is a long-blooming cultivar, earning the 1999 Perennial Plant of the Year award. Also makes a good cut flower. Native to southeastern Oklahoma.
